A book that I just finished reading this weekend is titled The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan. This is the first book in the Ranger’s Apprentice series. Will has grown up his whole life not knowing his parents, as they both died while he was an infant. He has grown up in the castle with other orphans, and is now 15 years old. He is facing Choosing Day when everybody chooses what career they are going to follow. Will’s desire is to go to Battle School, but his small size keeps him from fulfilling his dream. Instead, he is chosen to be a ranger’s apprentice. Will is not pleased with this choice, as the stories about the Rangers are filled with mystery. Will becomes the apprentice to Halt and quickly learns that there is more to being a ranger than he ever knew. When danger comes to the kingdom it is up to Will, Halt, and the other Rangers to save the kingdom. A very good read!

I recommend the Alex Rider series because it’s got alot of suspence.
