Bikes for Books Competition November 27, 2007

Our first Bikes for Books competition is quickly coming to an end. Students have been earning raffle tickets for our Assembly throughout the school semester. Students earn a raffle ticket for every three points that they have earned through Accelerated Reader. Students have had the chance to earn bonus tickets for the drawing. They can earn bonus tickets by:

• Reading 5 or more books and maintaining an 85.0% or higher average percent correct (5 bonus tickets)
• Taking and passing an Accelerated Vocabulary quiz (1 bonus ticket per passed quiz)
• Taking and passing a Literacy Skills test (2 bonus tickets per passed test)
• End of reading challenge – students who earn 10 or more points between 11/26 and 12/14 will earn 3 bonus tickets

Plus, all tickets that did not win in our iPod Shuffle challenge will be enrolled in the drawing.

Our contest will end on December 14th, and our Assembly will be held on December 20th at 9:30.
